State of Ghouse Paak when he was announced the King Of Saints
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu
WHEN HADRAT SHAYKH 'ABD AL-QADIR RADI ALLAHU TA'ALA ANHO declared that his foot is on the necks of every Wali of Allah. At that time Almighty Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala beamed a Tajalli (lustre) on the Shaykhs' heart and Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam sent a sacred garb with a group of exalted Angels for the Shaykh. There was a gathering of every Wali of the past and present. The Awliya who were alive presented themselves physically and those who had passed on, their souls were present. It was in this splendid gathering that the Angels dressed the great Ghawth Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho with this consecrated garb. At that moment a huge crowd of Rijal al-Ghayb (Men of the Unseen) and Angels were also present. The birds in the skies tucked their wings in respect and absolute submission. All of them filled the horizons to witness this coronation. There was no Wali of Allah on earth that did not bend his neck in submission to the declaration of the Ghawth. [BAHJAT AL-ASRAR, PUBLISHED MUSTAFA AL-BABI (EGYPT), PAGE 8-9]
SHAYKH HAMMAD BIN MUSLIM AL-DABBAS RADI ALLAHU TA'ALA ANHO was amongst the very first Masha'ikh of Sayyid 'Abd al-Qadir Jilani Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho. One day in the absence of Shaykh al-Jilani Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho he said: “The foot of this young Sayyid will be on the necks of all the Awliya. Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala will order him to declare that his foot is on the necks of all the Awliya. Every Wali of his time will bend their heads in submission and due to his status, they will honour and respect him.†[NUZHAT AL-KHATIR AL-FATIR TRAJUMA SAYYIDI AL-SHARIF 'ABD AL-QADIR (MANUSCRIPT), PAGE 8]
THIS SUBMISSION OF THE AWLIYA will be due to the Divine Appointment of Allah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho of the Ghawth. By the virtue of the fact that ALL the Awliya will acknowledge this, hence Sayyidi Shaykh Ahmad al-Rifa'i Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho will be no exception, and he too also bent his neck in acknowledgement and compliance.
It is also recorded in Nuzhat al-Khatir al-Fatir trajuma Sayyidi al-Sharif 'Abd al-Qadir that the announcement of Sayyiduna Ghawth al-A'zam Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho, قدمی ھذہ علی رقبۃ کل ولی اللہ, the bending of heads in submission of the present and absent Awliya, the acceptance of the sacred feet of the Ghawth on their heads and the rejection of one Wali who was stripped of his Sainthood is mentioned by the author. Thereafter, he comments as follows:
وھذا تنبیہ بینۃ علی انہ قطب الاقطاب والغوث الاعظم
This is a brilliant proof to undoubtedly confirm that Sayyiduna Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir Jilani Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho is the King of all the Qutbs and the Ghawth al-A'zam (most senior Ghawth). [Nuzhat al-Khatir al-Fatir trajuma Sayyidi al-Sharif 'Abd al-Qadir (MANUSCRIPT), PAGE 9-10]
IMAM IBN HAJR RADI ALLAHU TA'ALA ANHO LISTS SOME OF THE SENIOR AWLIYA, WHO BENT THEIR HEADS IN SUBMISSION, AS FOLLOWS:
§ The patron Saint of the Suhrawardi Sufi Order, Hadrat Sayyidi 'Abd al-Qahir Abu-Najib Suhrawardi Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho who bent his head and said:
علٰی رأسی علٰی رأسی
“ On my head, on my head.â€
§ Sayyidi Shaykh Ahmad al-Rifa'i Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho bent his head and said:
علی رقبتی
“This small Ahmad is also amongst them on whose neck is the foot the Master.†When he was asked about his strange action and comment, he replied:
الشیخ عبدالقادر الآن بغداد قدمی ھذہ علی رقبۃ کل ولی اللہ
“At this moment, Shaykh Sayyid 'Abd al-Qadir Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho has announced in Baghdad that his foot is on the necks of all the Awliya of Allah, therefore I too, humbly said that this small Ahmad is also amongst them .â€
§ Hadrat Sayyidi Abu-Madyan Shu'ib Maghribi Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho also bent his head and said:
وانا منھم اللھم انی اشھدک واشھدملٰئکتک انی سمعت واطعت
“I am also amongst them. O Allah! I make You and all the Angels a witness that I heard the command of 'Qadami' and obeyed.â€
§ Hadart Sayyidi 'Abd al-Rahim Qanawi Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho bent his neck to the ground and said:
صدق الصادق المصدوق
“The truthful has spoken the Truth.†[FATAWA HADITHIYYA, DAR AL-IHYA AL-TURATH AL ARABI (BEIRUT - LEBANON), PAGE 414]

Rules to Mature by Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jillani Razi Allaho Anho
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
JAZZALLAHU ANNA MUHAMMADAN MA HUWA AHLAHU
SAG-E-DARBAR-E-JILAN SHUD
Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani Radi Allahu anhu gave the following ten rules for his mureeds who wanted to mature themselves and control their nafs.
Jokingly or seriously, don't lie, because once your tongue avoids lying, Allah the Most High enlarges your chest and purifies your understanding and ilm (knowledge). That person becomes as if they don't know what a lie is. Everything becomes truth to him. When he hears other people lie, the mureed should pray for them not to lie.
The mureed should avoid cursing or harming humans and other created beings (from bugs to Jinn) because avoiding to curse and harm is the character of the good and loyal friends of Allah. If a person is like this, then Allah protects him or her and their end will be good. They will reach to a high level in Allah's presence. Allah will protect them from being destroyed and protect them from harm. Allah rewards this person with being a blessing to human beings and close to Allah's essence.
The mureed has to keep his promise at all times unless he has a very good excuse. He must avoid not keeping his promise because not keeping a promise is in the same class as lying. As long as the servant of Allah tries to keep his/her promise the doors of generosity and blessings open to him/her. Loyal lovers of Allah love these people and they get a high station in Allah's presence. It is better that he avoids the habit of making promise, so that he may not be guilty of the breach of promise.
Even though a person has harmed or wronged him/her, the mureed should not pray for harm to come to him or curse him. Even if the mureed is wronged, he/she should not damn anyone, whether by word or action. The mureed should put up with this and be patient for Allah's sake. This virtue takes the owner to high stations in this world and the hereafter. Such a person will be loved by far and near ones.
The mureed should not blame other believers with attributing partners to Allah, with disbelief or cause trouble between people. This attitude is close to mercy and assists the mureed to to reach high spiritual levels.
The mureed should not sin inwardly (in the heart) or outwardly. He/She should avoid eating things that are not halal and protect all the organs of his body from sin. This state is the best achievement in this world that a mureed can cultivate for the eternal life.
The mureed should earn his own livelihood and not be a burden to people who are independent of him/her. He should bear not only his own burden but also that of other people. Because of this virtue, the fear of Allah will make their worship complete and honorable.
The mureed/dervish must not or should not expect anything from people or desire what belongs to others. He should be unmindful of things which he needs, for to have no need is the mark of honour and the distinguishing trait of piety of the pious. The biggest honour and wealth and the highest level is to put one's whole trust in Allah only. Only with this attitude can the dervish be pious. Worship matures with this attitude. This is the state and action of one who give himself to Allah.
A mureed/dervish should not, either truly or falsely, intentionally or unintentionally, by mistake or on purpose take Allah's Name in vain or swear by the Name of Allah.
The mureed/dervish should take to hospitality and humility. With humility, the dervish reaches high levels of spirituality and stays at this high level. This is the base of goodness and the highest level of goodness. Because of this quality the lovers of Allah stay with him in troubled times. The Walis (Saints) visit him in the unseen and aid him in his difficulty. Humility is seeing everybody you meet as higher than you and thinking that they might be closer to Allah than yourself.
If the mureed meets a person that is younger than himself/herself, he/she should say:
"This person did not rebel against Allah; I did. I am sure he/she is better than me."
If the mureed meets a person who is older than himself, he/she should say:
"This person has worshipped Allah longer than I have . He might have reached levels I have not been able to reach. Maybe Allah has let him know things I haven't been allowed to know yet."
If the mureed meets an ignorant person, then he should say:
"This person rebelled against Allah because he was ignorant; I rebelled against Allah knowingly. I dont know what is going to happen at the end to me or to him/her."
If the mureed meets a person who is a disbeliever or agnostic, he should say:
"Maybe one day this disbeliever or agnostic will become a Muslim and do better deeds than myself and he might end up in a better place than I would and I might be misled and end up in a worse place than him."
If a mureed acts with humility like this, then Allah the Most High saves him/her from hardships and makes the mureed reach to the levels of those who give advice for Allah's sake. He will be the closest friend of Allah the Most High.

Gausul Azam blessed by Sayyidina RasoolAllah sallallahu alaih wasallam, he became a great preacher, orator and reformer.
Once in Shawwal 521 AH, Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (alaih rehman) saw Sayyidina RasoolAllah sallallahu alaih wasallam in his dream advising him to make a speech and to impart his knowledge to others.
Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (alaih rehman) asked to be blessed with eloquence as he was an Ajmi (non-Arab). Sayyidina RasoolAllah sallallahu alaih wasallam recited the Aayat “Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preachings’ (16:25) seven times and blew on the face of Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (alaih rehman).
The same day after Zuhr prayer, Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (alaih rehman) mounted the pulpit and addressed the people with a sermon. The audience were entranced by his words. His assemblies were attended by men of all calibre.
About 400 men remained engaged in recording his speeches (Akhbarul Akhyar).
Many embraced Islam under the influence of his sermons. His fame for learning, piety, inner illumination, truth and strict adherence to Shariah spread all over. People flocked to hear his lectures and benefit from the sermons that covered all aspects of life.
Muslim sinners would change their course of life after listening to his discourses. His spiritual personality awed even the greatest of men.
When Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (alaih rehman) spoke he was prompted by the Grace of Allah subhan wa ta'ala causing the miraculous and revolutionary impact of his words.
The greatest of all divines and mystic saints of Islam, Hazrat Peeran-e-Peer Ghaus e Azam Shah Abdul Qadir Jilani (alaih rehman) breathed his last on the 11th Rabi-us-Sani, 561 A.H. at the age of 91 years.

ALL TARIQA (ORDERS) DEPENDENT ON HUZOOR SHAYKH SAYYIDI ABDUL QADIR JILANI ( (Rahmatullahi Allaih))
A major sign of his higher rank is his famous phrase: قدمی ھذہ علی رقبھ کل ولی اللہ meaning "This foot of mine is on the necks of all the Awliya Allah"
Here is a brief description of this:
Chishti Silsla:
Imam of Chisti Silsila in Indian Subcontinent, Khwaja Moeen ud Deen Chisti Ajmari was doing muraqba (meditation) in the mountains of Kharasan when he listened the saying of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani and he said: Your foot is not only on my neck, but on my head and eyes also. Sahib-e-Qlaid-ul-Jawahir says that then he went to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani, remained for 50 days in his company and then sought his permission to start his work in Iraq. Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani said, I have already given Iraq to Shahab-ud-Deen, so I would send you to India.
Suharwardi Silsla:
The Imam of Suharwardi Silsla, Khawaja Shahab-ud-Deen Soharwardi says that at the age of 14, I mastered various branches of knowledge. Then my Sheikh brought me to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani who touched my chest with his hands and all of my knowledge disappeared from my mind. Then he touched my chest again and I was awarded with numerous kinds of knowledge which I never knew before. So this silsila directly got faiz of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani.
Naqshbandi Silsila:
Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani was passing near Bukhara and faced towards that city and said: After me, my son Baha-ud-Din would be born here who would carry my faiz. The founder of this silsila Khawaja Shah Baha-ud-Deen Naqshband was born 157 after that.So this silsila is also his faiz-holder. (Qalaid-e-Jawaher)
Sheikh Mujadad Alaf Sani Sheikh Ahmad Sarhandi who is also a leader of Naqshbandi Silsila, writes in his Maqtobat thatShaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani carries the faiz of Hazrat Ali ( (Rahmatullahi Allaih)) and Imams(11 imams of ahhlay bait) and now every Wali would be dependent on him for faiz.
Shazli Silsila:
It is a famous silsila of Arab world. Imam Abu-ul-Hasan Shazli is its Imam whose wazifa "Hazb-ul-Bahr" many Awliya read. His mazar is in Egypt. His sheikh, Abu Madyan Ghos Al-Maghrabi was sitting in village Fas of Tunas when he heard Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani claim of superiority and bowed his neck.
Rifaee Silsila:
It is another famous silsila of Arab world. Its founder,Sheikh As-Syed Ahmad Ar-Rafaee, was traveling in Egypt when he bowed his head. When people accompanying him asked for the reason of this act, he said: Right now, in Baghdad, Abdul Qadir has announced his superiority, and I have accepted that by bowing my head.
Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani is at the post of WAZEER HAZOORI in the Rasool Allah Derbar, anyone who wish to meet Prophet Mohammad SAW the request is handed over and processed through him by Shaykh Azeemi
All Awliya receive the ‘Spiritual flow of Kindness of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) or Faize Mustawi from Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani .
Hazrath Ahmad Sirhindi Naqshbandi a.k.a Mujaddid Alf Sani says that there are 2 Levels of Sainthood (Wilayat) i.e.
1) Wilayate Sughra (small Wilayat) which all Awliya have, but
2) Wilayate Kubra (the great Wilayat) is given exclusively to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani
So one can see how all the major silasil got faiz from him, and how their Imams have a consensus not only about his wilayat, but about his superiority on other Awliya also.
How Gaus pak`smureeds can scare evil spirits
As salaam alaikum wa rehmatulah to all
brothers ans sister i am going to share with you something very important
Gaus pak has said whoever considers himself as my mureed then I will also consider him as my mureed
Once, a mureed of Gaus pak came to gaus pak and said oo gause pak I am scared i think some evil spirit/jinn has entered the body of my wife now what should i do? Then Gause pak replied to him saying go to your wife and say in her ear Mai Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani Gaus Pak ka mureed hu and see what happens so this mureed goes home and says this in hos wife`s ears and when he said this in his wife`s ear that jinn/evil spirit got so frightened and immediately ran away leaving his wife`s body!!!!!!!!
So any one who is suffering from this problem ( hazri of jinn) love and respect gaus pak make him consider urself as his mureed then do this Insha Allah it will work.

When Syedina Hazrat Shaik Abdul Qadir Jillani ( Razi Allahu Thaalah Anhu ) took sacred birth on 1st of Ramadan, use to fast from dawn to dust and never use to drink milk and fasted for the entire holy month of Ramadan.
Parents and Early Life
Abdul Qadir Jilani was a Sufi master and Syed (descendant of the Prophet Muhammad) from both his father and mother. His father Abu Saleh Jangidost, was an illustrious and God-fearing man. Once while engrossed in meditation by the bank of a river he saw an apple floating down the river. He picked it up and ate it. It struck to him that he ate the apple without paying for it so he set out in search of the owner, on the bank of the river and at last reached the owner of the apple orchard "Abdullah Somai" whom he requested to tell him the price of the apple, Abdullah Somai replied that it was an expensive thing. Syed Abu Saleh replied that he had not much by way of worldly material but he, could serve him for compensation. Abdullah Somai then asked him to work for a year in the orchard. In course of time the duration was extended several times. In the end Abdullah Somai admitted that he had served him in excess of the price and desired to reward him. Abu Saleh hesitated in accepting it but when Abdullah Somai persisted, he relented. He said he had a daughter, blind of eyes, handicapped of hands and feet and wanted to give her in marriage to him. In this way Abu Saleh was married to Abdullah Somai's daughter, Syeda Fatimah. To his astonishment found her wondrously beautiful and wholesome. He complained to his father-in-law that he found her exactly the opposite to what he had described her. Abdullah Somai insisted on the truthfulness of his statement. She was blind because she had not seen any Ghair Mehram (a man who could marry her). She was mute because she had not uttered a word repugnant to the Shariah (Islamic law). She was deaf because she had not heard anything inconsistent with the Shariah. She was handicapped of hand and feet because she had never moved in the direction of evil.
Abdul Qadir Jilani's father died soon after and the young orphan was reared up by his mother and his grandfather, Abdullah Somai.
Adult life
At the age of 18 he went to Baghdad on AH 488 (1095 AD), where he pursued the study of Hanbalite law under several teachers. His mother sewed 40 gold coins in his quilt so that he might spend them when needed. The dacoits struck the caravan on the way, and looted all the travelers of their belongings. They asked him what he had. He replied that he had 40 gold coins. The dacoits took his reply for a joke and took him to their chief, who asked him the same question and he again replied that he had 40 gold coins. He demanded him to show, upon whom he tore away, the quilt and produced the gold coins. He was surprised and asked him why he had given the hidden gold coins when he could have kept them hidden. Young Abdul Qadir Jilani replied that he was travelling to Baghdad to receive education and his mother had instructed him to speak the truth. This left a deep effect on the chief of the dacoits and he gave up looting.
Abdul Qadir received lessons on Islamic Jurisprudence from Abu Said Ali al-Mukharrimi, Hadith from Abu-Bakra-bin-Muzaffar, and commentary (tafseer) from the renowned commentator, Abu Muhammad Jafar.
A distressed young man once came to Ghaus-e-Azam and said, 'Ya Sayyidi! I saw my late father in a dream last night and he was saying, 'Oh son! I am being subjected to punishment in my grave. Go to Sayyiduna Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani and ask him to pray for me.' After listening to this, the King of Baghdad asked, 'Did your late father ever pass by my Madrassa?' The son replied, 'Yes (he did).' Ghaus-e-Azam went quiet and the young man went away. The next day the son returned looking extremely happy and said, 'Oh Murshid! Last night my late father came in my dream again. He was wearing green (Heavenly) clothing and was looking very happy. He said to me 'Oh son! By the blessing of Sayyiduna Ghaus-e-Azam I have been saved from the punishment and in exchange I have been dressed in this green (Heavenly) dress. My dear son! You must always remain in his presence.' After listening to this, the Sheikh said, 'My Lord has promised me that the punishment of any Muslim who passes by my Madrassa will be reduced.'
Sayyiduna Umar bin Baz'zaaz says, 'Once, on a Friday, I was going to the Masjid with Ghaus-e-Azam . I thought to myself that how strange it is that whenever I go to the Masjid on Friday with my Murshid, people gather around to say salaam to him or to shake his hand and it becomes extremely difficult to walk past, but today no-one is even looking (at him). As soon as this thought entered my mind, Ghaus-e-Azam looked towards me and smiled. Suddenly, people started rushing to shake hands with the King of Baghdad . There were so many people that a huge crowd stood between me and my merciful Murshid . I thought to myself, 'It was much better before.' When I thought this, he said, 'Oh Umar! You were the one who wanted the crowd. Do you not know that the hearts of the people are in my fist? If I want, I can pull their hearts towards me and if I want, I can push them away.

Every praise is to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala who dispel's all the darkness. Innumerable greeting's and salutation's be on the most praised one Allah's last messenger & Beloved Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, who is the best of all creation's.
After that Sayyedina Aqa Gaus-e-Paak Radi Allahu anhu said : "Fear the entities other than Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala but lover and adore Almighty Allah". Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala address me by my title's saying ;
"Gaus-ul-Azam" and i responded "Yes o my Lord the sustainer of Gausul-Azam, I am all ear's And he said " All the condition and states intervening the world of bodies & the world of soul's are the "Shariat" & the state that intervenes the world of divine attribute is "Tariqat" (true mode of religion) & those that intervenes the divine attributes and "Martaba-e-Fana-fillah"(station of efacement & submergence into Allah) are "Haqeeqat"(ultimate and eternal reality)
Then he adressed me by my title of Gaus-ul-Azam and said " All that i have embodied in everything has been made merciful altogether manifestatively in man".
Sayyedina Aqa Gausul Azam Radi Allahu anhu further states;
Then i said to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala" Which place is home to you , O My Lord?" O Gaus-ul-Azam! I am the creator of the entire universe, But no place is home to me. All the creature's have abode but i am without any Abode.
I then again asked him " Do you eat and drink? O Gaus-ul-Azam the FAQIR'S eating & drinking is my eating and drinking.
Sayyedina Aaqa Gaus-Paak Radi Allahu anhu further states ;
I again asked " Of what stuff have you created the angles?" , "O Gaus-ul-Azam! " I created the angles from the light of man and created man from my light"
Then he said; "O Gaus-ul-Azam i created man for my pleasure and created all the remaining creatures for the man's pleasure"
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala said " O Gaus-ul-Azam! i am the best among the seeker's and the best sought after is man. Similarly the best rider is man and the best steed's are other creature all brought into being for him"
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala said " O, Gaus-ul-azam man and Me are both secret and we both confide in each other. SHould man be conscious of the worth he hold's in my estimation, he will not cease saying with every breath "WHOSE EMPIRE HOLDS SWAY OVER THE UNIVERSE TODAY"?
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala said " O, Gaus-ul-Azam whatever man eats drinks and whether he sit's stand's speak's or keep quite or does anything and look at somebody or make himself , I am in state of rest with or in state of motion with him.

Once the water in Tigris rose to an extra ordinary high level on account of an unprecedent flood. The inhabitants of Baghdad became frightened of the imminent danger. They came to Saiyidina Hazrat Ghousul Azam and solicited his help. There upon Hazrat went up to the river side and planting his stick on the river bank said "Remain with in this limit. The flood then began to recede slowly and came down to the Limit demarcated by him.

Baghdad, Iraq was a great center for learning and spiritual knowledge where the scholars flocked to be around other intellectual giants and exchange ideas. Like all contemporaries of great men in history, many failed to recognize the transcendental spiritual status of Sayyidina Abdul Qadir Jilani (Razi ALLAH Tala Anhu) and tried to influence him to leave. Here’s an anecdote about this unsuccessful attempt at coercion:
On returning to Baghdad from his spiritual journey Sheikh Abdul Qadir (Razi ALLAH Tala Anhu) faced a tribulation which Allah permitted him to overcome with majestic wisdom. Many of the Islamic elite of Baghdad were perturbed by the return of Sheikh Abdul Qadir (Razi ALLAH Tala Anhu) who, due to his great reputation and spiritual status, had amassed a large following of disciples.
The scholars gathered and devised a way by which they could send a clear message to Sheikh Abdul Qadir (Razi ALLAH Tala Anhu) indicating their displeasure at his presence in Baghdad. They ordered a large vessel be filled to the brim and sent it to the quarters of Sheikh Abdul Qadir (Razi ALLAH Tala Anhu). Upon seeing the container the students of Sheikh Abdul Qadir (Razi ALLAH Tala Anhu) were baffled as to the meaning behind the gesture, however, the wise Sheikh instantly realised the message. The container represented Baghdad and the water represented the scholars (people of knowledge) in Baghdad meaning that Baghdad was full and did not require a new Sheikh such as Abdul Qadir (Razi ALLAH Tala Anhu).
With an ingenious stroke of wisdom the Sheikh plucked a rose which he then floated on top of the water. He then ordered the vessel be taken back to the senders who, on seeing it, immediately acknowledged the great spiritual wisdom of the Sheikh and assigned him the title ‘The Rose of Baghdad’.
Islam is the only religion which can produce men of such mighty spiritual eminence and exceptional nearness to Allah.

Huzoor Ghaus ul Azam Dastageer's Razi Allaho Anho Names and Titles
Huzoor Ghaus ul Azam Dastageer's Names and Titles
A rich store of information about the author of these discourses and Sufficient Provision for Seekers of the Path of Truth is conveniently available, to those familiar with the religious and spiritual tradition of Islaam, in his names, his surnames, and the many titles conferred upon him by his devoted followers. It is not unusual for these to take up several lines in an Arabic manuscript, but let us start with the short form of the author's name as it appears on the cover and title page of these books.
Shaikh –
A term applied throughout the Islamic world to respected persons of recognized seniority in learning, experience and wisdom. Its basic meaning in Arabic is "an elder; a man over fifty years of age. (The spellings Sheikh and Shaykh may also be encountered in English language publications.)
'Abd al-Qadir -
This is the author's personal name, meaning "Servant [or Slave] of the All-Powerful." (The form 'Abdul Qaadir, which the reader may come across elsewhere, is simply an alternative transliteration of the Arabic spelling.) It has always been a common practice, in the Muslim community, to give a male child a name in which 'Abd is prefixed to one of the Names of Allaah.
Al-Jilani -
A surname ending in -ii will often indicate the bearer's place of birth. Shaikh 'Abd al-Qaadir was born in the Iranian district of Giilaan, south of the Caspian Sea, in A.H. 470/1077-8 C.E. (In some texts, the Persian spelling Giilaanii is used instead of the arabicized form al-Jiilaanii. The abbreviated form al-Jiilii, which may also be encountered, should not be confused with the surname of the venerable 'Abd al-Karim al-Jiilii, author of the celebrated work al-Insaan al-Kaamil, who came from Jiil in the district of Baghdaad.)
Let us now consider a slightly longer version of the Shaikh's name, as it occurs near the beginning of Al-Fath ar-Rabbaanii [The Sublime Revelation]: Sayyidunaa 'sh-Shaikh Muhyi'd-Diin Abuu Muhammad 'Abd al-Qaadir (Radiya'llaahu 'anh).
Sayyidunaa 'sh-Shaikh -
"Our Master, the Shaikh." A writer who regards himself as a Qaadirii, a devoted follower of Shaikh 'Abd al-Qaadir, will generally refer to the latter as Sayyidunaa [our Master], or Sayyidii [my Master].
Muhyi'd-Diin -
"Reviver of the Religion." It is widely acknowledged by historians, non-Muslim as well as Muslim, that Shaikh 'Abd al-Qaadir displayed great courage in reaffirming the traditional teachings of Islaam, in an era when sectarianism was rife, and when materialistic and rationalistic tendencies were predominant in all sections of society. In matters of Islamic jurisprudence [fiqh] and theology [kalaam], he adhered quite strictly to the highly "orthodox" school of Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal.
Abu Muhammad -
"Father of Muhammad." In the Arabic system of nomenclature, a man's surnames usually include the name of his first-born son, with the prefix Abuu [Father of–]. Radiya'llaahu 'anh –
"May Allaah be well pleased with him!" This benediction is the one customarily pronounced–and spelled out–in writing after mentioning the name of a Companion of the Prophet (Allaah bless him and give him peace). The preference for this particular invocation is yet another mark of the extraordinary status held by Shaikh 'Abd al-Qaadir in the eyes of his devoted followers.
Finally, we must note some important elements contained within this even longer version: al-Ghawth al-A'zam Sultaan al-Awliyaa' Sayyidunaa 'sh-Shaikh Muhyi'd-Diin 'Abd al-Qaadir al-Jiilaanii al-Hasanii al-Husainii (Radiya'llaahu 'anh).
Al-Ghawth al-A'zam -
"The Supreme Helper" (or, "The Mightiest Succor"). Ghawth is an Arabic word meaning:
(1) A cry for aid or succor.
(2) Aid, help, succor; deliverance from adversity.
(3) The chief of the Saints, who is empowered by Allaah to bring succor to suffering humanity, in response to His creatures' cry for help in times of extreme adversity.
Sultaan al-Awliyaa' -
"The Sultan of the Saints." This reinforces the preceding title, emphasizing the supremacy of the Ghawth above all other orders of sanctity.
al-Hasanii al-Husainii -
"The descendant of both al-Hasan and al-Husain, the grandsons of the Prophet (Allaah bless him and give him peace)." To quote the Turkish author, Shaikh Muzaffer Ozak Efendi (may Allaah bestow His mercy upon him): "The lineage of Shaikh 'Abd al-Qaadir is known as the Chain of Gold, since both his parents were descendants of the Messenger (Allaah bless him and give him peace). His noble father, 'Abdullaah, traced his descent by way of Imaam Hasan, while his revered mother, Umm al-Khair, traced hers through Imaam Husain."
As for the many other surnames, titles and honorific appellations that have been conferred upon Shaikh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, it may suffice at this point to mention al-Baaz al-Ashhab [The Gray Falcon].

I am sure everyone here are aware of the incidence when Sayyedina Umar Farooq Radi Allahu anhu and Maula Ali alayhis 'salam went to meet and give khirqa to Khwaja Owais Qarni Radi Allahu anhu.
When they ask Khwaja Owais Qarni Radi Allahu anhu that beloved prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam has ask him to pray for the Umma'h. Khwaja Owais Qarni bowed down in sajda and start making dua for the Ummah , There comes a voice from the Gaib(Nida) , Owais lift your head with your supplications i have forgiven half Umma'h and i will forgive half Ummah with the dua of my beloved Prophet's Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Naib & beloved Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani Radi Allahu anhu and Abdul Qadir Radi Allahu anhu is also my Beloved.
When Khwaja Owais inquired about Gaus-Paak Radi Allahu anhu, he heard another voice from the Ghaib : Abdul Qadir Radi Allahu anhu is my beloved and he is also beloved of my Habeeb Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. Till the day of Qiyamat Abdul Qadir will be my Hujjat for the people on this earth. Except Sahaba-Ikraam & Aiyamma Izam his foot will be on the neck of all the Wali-Allah that has come before or after him. Those who accept Abdul Qadir i will accept him and keep him as my friend.
After hearing this Khwaja Owais Radi Allahu anhu bowed down his neck and he said O Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala i am also accepting Abdul Qadir Radi Allahu anhu.

Sayyedina Gaus-e-Azam Dastagir Radi Allahu anhu states I had the priviledge to see Sarwar-e-Konain Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam in Bagdad when seated on the throne & Sarwar-e-Konain Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam was accompanied by Sayyedina Musa Kalimullah alayhis 'salam.
Adressing Sayyedina Musa alayhis 'salam he questioned him pointing to me if there was any man in his Ummah like myself. He replied in the negative. At this Sarwar-e-KonainSalla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam who was mounted on winged sheet in the air, called me by my name and embrace me. After that he made me wear the robe saying that this robe of Qutbiat had been gifted by me to you. He then sanctified me by putting his sacred saliva three time in my mouth. I returned to the place i was sitting and began to recite the following verse :
I will intoxucate myself with the heady wine of divine love in every corner of the world, revealing my creed to all the lover's of Allah
I will drink this cup of divine love not alone in a secluded corner but openly before all , trumpeting my state of drunkness.

Hazrat-e-Bishr Qarazi Alaih Rehma narrates
That I was travelling with a group of traders along with fourteen camels carrying sugar. We stopped for
the night in a dangerous jungle. In the early hours of the night my four loaded camels disappeared, which
were not found even after a lot of search. The group also departed. The camel driver stayed back with me.
In the morning I suddenly remembered that my Mentor, The King of Baghdad Huzoor Ghous-e-Pak had told
me that whenever you get stuck in any problem then call me (my name), Allah willing that problem will be solved,
hence I requested this way: YA SHAIKH ABDUL QADIR! MY CAMELS ARE LOST. All of sudden I saw a saintly man
dressed in white clothes on a sand dune towards east, who was signaling me to come to him. As soon as I along
with my camel driver reached over there the saintly Man disappeared from vision. We were strangely looking
here and there when we suddenly spotted those four lost camels sitting under the sand dune. Then what
happened was that we caught the camels and re-joined the group.
When Sayyed-e-na Shaikh Ab-ul-Hasan Ali Khabbaz was told the incident of the lost camels He said that
Hazrat-e-Shaikh Ab-ul- Qassim has said that I have heard Sayyed-e-na Shaikh Muhi-ud-Din Abdul Qadir Jilani saying:
“THE ONE WHO CRIES OUT FOR MY HELP DURING SOME PROBLEM, THE PROBLEM GETS SOLVED, THE ONE WHO
CALLS OUT MY NAME IN ANY HARDSHIP, THAT HARDSHIP; GETS DISMISSED, THE ONE WHO USED ME AS A SOURCE
TO ASK ALLAH FOR SOME NEED, IT WILL BE FUFILLED. THE PERSON WHO PRAYES TWO RAK’AT OF NAFL AND IN EACH
RAK’AT AFTER SURAH FATIHA RECITIES SURAH IKHLAS ELEVEN TIMES, AFTER SAYING SALAAM i.e AFTER FINISHING
THE PRAYER, SENDS DUROOD-O-SALAAM ON THE KING OF MADEENAH AND THEN WALKS A DISTANCE OF ELEVEN STEPS TOWARDS BAGHDAD SHAREEF AND CALLS OUT MY NAME AND PRESENTS HIS NEED, ALLAH WILLING, THAT NEED WILL BE FULFILLED’.
Why should I go from door to door when I have a mentor like You. I received every thing from you ‘O, Ghous-e-Azam Dastgir.
Dear Islamic Brother! It is possible that in someone’s mind a thought may arise that we should only ask Allah for
any help and no one else, because when Allah is the One who helps then why should we ask anyone else for
help? The answer to this is that this is the way he makes an unknown number of people go astray. When Allah has
not refrained from asking for help from someone else then how can someone get the right of saying that don’t
ask for help from anyone but Allah. Look in the Holy Quran, where Allah has in various verses allowed asking for
help from someone else, but even though being the Omnipotent in every way,. He has asked for help from His
beings. Therefore it is stated:
Translation: If you will help the religion of Allah, Allah will help you. (Part-26, Sura: Muhammad)
THE KING OF JINNS
Bushair bin Mahfooz states that once my daughter, Fatima, all of a sudden vanished from the roof of my house.
I got worried and want to the blessed presence of Sayyed-e-na Ghouse-e-Pak and requested for help. He told me
to go to Karkh, and during the night sit in a deserted place forming a fort (Hisar) around myself. Over there think
about em and say:†Bismillah†During the darkness of night groups of Jinns will pass by you, their faces will be very
strange, do not get scared by looking at them, at the time of sahari the KING OF JINNS will come to you and will
ask you about your requirement. Tell him, “Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani has sent me from Baghdad (my requirement
is that) you search my daughter.â€
Hence, I went to the ruins of KARKH and followed the instructions of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam. During the silence
of night, horrifying Jinns kept on passing outside my hisar. The faces of the Jinns were so horrifying that I could
not look at them. At the time of sahari, the KING OF JINNS came on a horse back, there were Jinns surrounding
him. He asked my demand from outside the hisar. I told him that Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam has sent me to you.
As soon as he beard this, he got down the horse and sat on the ground. The other Jinns too sat outside the hisar.
I narrated the incident of the disappearance of my daughter. He announced amongst all the Jinns, “Who has taken
the girl?†Within moments the Jinns caught a Chinese Jinn and presented him as the culprit. The King of the Jinns
asked him why did you pick the girl up from the city of the Highest Cadre in Spiritual Pivot (Qutub) of the time?
He said, while shivering, Your Highness! After looking at her I fell in love with her. The King ordered the
Chinese Jinn to be beheaded and returned my wonderful daughter to me. I thanked the King of the Jinns and
said, as Allah will! You are an ardent lover of Sayyed-e-na Ghouse-e-Pak. He then replied, I SWEAR UPON ALLAH
WHEN HUZOOR GHOUS-E-PAK LOOKS TOWARDS US, ALL THE JINNS START TREMBLING. WHEN ALL NOMINATES AS
QUTUB OF TIME THEN ALL THE JINNS AND HUMANS ARE ORDERED TO FOLLOW HIM.
(Bahjaa-tul- Asraar)
All the Jinns start trembling (with fear) on hearing your name. Your Have that majestic awe

One night, there was a gathering which
included all the great Shaikhs of the time, to listen to the lecture of Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam
(Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh). One of the Shaikhs present, Hafiz Abdul-Mughith ibn Harb (Radiallahu
Ta’ala Anh) states:
“That night the Shaikh( (Rahmatullahi Allaih)) was in a state of inspiration. Pearls of wisdom poured from his mouth. All of
us were in a perfect state of peace and bliss, of a kind we had never experienced before. A moment
came when the Shaikh (Rahmatullahi Allaih) pointed to his foot and declared, “This foot is over the necks of all the Saints.â€
No sooner had he said this than one of his students, Shaikh Ali ibn Al Hiti (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh)
threw himself at his master’s feet. He took the Shaikh’s blessed foot and placed it upon his neck. Then
all the rest of us did the same.â€
Shaikh Sayyidi Maajid (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) states, “When Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam (Radiallahu
Ta’ala Anh) said these words, then every Wali on earth bowed his neck.†He also states, “There were
300 Awliya Allah and 700 Rijaalul Ghaib present in that gathering, and every one of them lowered
their necks before him.â€
Sayyidi Shaikh Khalifatul Akbar (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) states, “I saw the Beloved Rasool (Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam) in my dream and I asked him about the statement of Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam
(Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) i.e. “My foot is on the neck of all the Saints.†The Beloved Rasool (Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Abdul Qadir Jilani (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) has spoken the truth and why
should he not say this when he is the Qutb, and I am his Guardian. Qadam Gardane Awliya Par He Thera He Thu Rabb Ka Aisa Wali Ghaus-e-Azamâ You are such a Wali of Allah Oh Ghaus-e-Azam
That your blessed foot is on the neck of all the Saints
When Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) said, “My foot is on the neck of all the Saints,â€
Hazrat Khwaja Mu’eenuddeen Chishti Ajmeri (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) was at that moment in the
prime of his youth. He was deep in the remembrance of Allah on a mountain in Khurasaan. As soon
as Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) said these words, Hazrat Khwaja Mu’eenuddeen
Chishti (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) heard this and lowered his neck and said, “Not only on my neck but
your blessed foot is on my eyes and on my head as well.†It was through the blessing of this act of
submission that Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) made Hazrat Khwaja Mu’eenuddeen
Chishti (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) “Sultanul Hindâ€, the King of the Saints of India.
“Ye Dil Ye Jigar He Ye Aankhe Ye Sarr Heâ€
“Jahaa Chaaho Rakhlo Qadam Ghaus-e-Azamâ€
My heart, liver, eyes and head are here
You place your foot wherever you desire Oh Ghaus-e-Azam
Khwaja Mu'in ad-Din Chishti (ra) had been honoured and blessed with meeting
and enjoying the company of Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (ra) on two
separate occasions. Besides the physical bond of blood relation that these
two grand saints share, they were also spiritually connected to each other
in a far more intense relation.
The two great shuyukh first met in the year 551 hijri in the city of
Baghdad. Khwaja Mu'in ad-Din Chishti (ra) was at this stage still a young
man, and in his fledgeling stages of Tasawwuf and spirituality. Upon seeing
him, Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (ra) remarked: "This young man will be a
great figure of his time - He will be a source of inspiration and a centre
of devotion, as well as a focus of attention to myriads of people!"
The next meeting between these two giants of Tasawwuf took place in the
year 581 hijri, thirty years after their previous meeting. Khwaja Mu'in
ad-Din Chishti (ra) was now a fully fledged Sufi master and head of the
Chishti Order. These two saints met on this occasion at a place known as
Jil, or Jiyal.
It is reported from Iqtibas al-Anwar that on this occasion, Sheikh `Abd
al-Qadir Jilani (ra) instructed his disciples to search for some musicians
and he arranged a mehfil-e-sama'. During this spiritual audition, Khwaja
Mu'in ad-Din was overcome with ecstasy and began to whirl uncontrollably.
Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir Jilani (ra) stood up with tears in his blessed eyes and
took a firm hold of his staff, which also began to shake about in a whirling
motion. An attendant asked him, "O Great Master, what is with your staff?"
"Are you unable to see," replied Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir Jilani (ra), "that a
perfect servant of Allah is overcome with ecstasy? The universe and all its
contents, from `Arsh to Abyss, has also begun whirling with him in
ecstasy... With the might of my Wilayah, I am holding the entire universe at
ease and in sync, or else all will whirl with the Khwaja to destruction!"
Jahan bar sama' ast masti-o-shor
wa-lekin che binad dar aa'ina kaur?
The world, in sama', whirls in ecstasy,
but what in a mirror does a blind man see? (Sheikh Sa'di Shirazi t, Bustan)
Once the sama' ended, the two grand shuyukh locked themselves up in a room
for three days and three nights. During this time, Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir
al-Jilani (ra) instructed Khwaja Mu'in ad-Din Chishti (ra) in some special
waza'if and du'a, including the Du'a-e-Saifi and al-'Ism al-A'zam, the Great
Name of Allah which had come down from the Holy Prophet e, transmitted chest
to chest. It is reported that Khwaja Mu'in ad-Din Chishti (ra) spent
approximately five months in the blessed company of Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir
al-Jilani (ra), receiving much spiritual bounty and benediction.
Upon his departure, Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir Jilani (ra) conferred upon Khwaja
Mu'in ad-Din Chishti (ra) the khirqah of khilafat in the Qadiri Order. At
this time, Khwaja Mu'in ad-Din Chishti (ra) was approximately fifty years
old, and Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (ra) was in his ninetieth year.

Imam-ul-Auliya " The King of Saints " was born in the Holy Month of Ramadan
Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem. Allahumma Salle 'Ala Syedina Muhammadin Wa 'Ala Aalihi Syedina Muhammadin Wa Barik Wa Sallim. 'Ala Inna Auliya Allahu La Qaufum Alaihim Walahum Yazanoon.
Karamat e Gaus pak
On way to the masjid with Gaus e Azam

Inspiration's and discoveries revealed to the heart of Sayyedina Aaqa Gaus-e-Azam Radi Allahu anhu. Pertaining to this world, the world of angles and the world of omnipotence.
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Every praise is to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala who dispel's all the darkness. Innumerable greeting's and salutation's be on the most praised one Allah's last messenger & Beloved Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, who is the best of all creation's.
After that Sayyedina Aqa Gaus-e-Paak Radi Allahu anhu said : "Fear the entities other than Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala but lover and adore Almighty Allah". Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala address me by my title's saying ;
Sayyedina Aqa Gausul Azam Radi Allahu anhu further states;
Sayyedina Aaqa Gaus-Paak Radi Allahu anhu further states ;

Huzoor Ghaus Pak said the river "Remain with in this limit"

Sallallaho Ala Mohammadiyun Wa Aaalihi Wasallam
Once the water in Tigris rose to an extra ordinary high level on account of an unprecedent flood. The inhabitants of Baghdad became frightened of the imminent danger. They came to Saiyidina Hazrat Ghousul Azam and solicited his help. There upon Hazrat went up to the river side and planting his stick on the river bank said "Remain with in this limit. The flood then began to recede slowly and came down to the Limit demarcated by him.

The Rose of Baghdad
Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem
Islam is the only religion which can produce men of such mighty spiritual eminence and exceptional nearness to Allah.

miracles of gaus pak
Once Gaus pak was delivering a lecture in that lecture he was praising allah and was propagating islam so many people were coming to hear his lecture but then what happened suddenly it started to rain heavily then Gaus pak looked up at the sky and said Ya Allah I am here praising you and propagating islam to these people and you are the one who is making these people run away? when he uttered these words then all of a sudden only on his madressah where he was delivering his lecture rain stopped but everywhere else it was still raining!!
Once Huzoor Gaus pak was psssing by and he passed by two men who were in an argument or you could say that they were fighting one man was a christian and the other was a muslim so he stopped and asked them why are you both fighting he got the response and he came to know that they were fighting because one was saying prophet isa was greater and the other was saying prophet muhammad was greater so this was their argument on then Gaus pak told the christian I am no prophet but if I make a dead person alive will you become a muslim? the christian was amazed by the challenge and accepted it so Gaus pak took him to a grave yard and told him, to chose which from which grave he would want the person to be alive so this Christian chose a particular grave then Gaus pak told him that this is a very old grave and the person in this grave used to do the work of some musical instruments and Gaus pak also asked him that do you want this person to come out of his grave playing his musical instruement? the christian replied yes and Gaus pak ordered the person in the grave to come out then the christian saw that person coming out of his grave playing the instrument!!! then the christian became a muslim

Love gave me the goblets of union to drink,

Note, that the Miraaj of Ghous Paak Radi Allahu anhu was not to see Allah Taalah but to meet the Beloved Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam . The incident has been narrated in many books and not by ordinary people but by Auliya Allah including Hazrat Sultan Bahu Radi Allahu anhu.
It is narrated in Tafreeh ul Khatir Fi Manaqib Shaykh Abdul Qadir Radi Allahu anhu that on the Night of Miraaj of the Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam , Syedna Ghous ul Azam Radi Allahu anhu spirit was deep engrosed in meeting Rasool Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam and thus travelled beyond the last point that is reserved for Auliya and achieved bodily form and met Rasool Allah and requested for their foot to be placed upon their neck.
Rasool Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam placed his foot upon his neck and Allah Taalah said to Rasool Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam , "do you know who he is?"
Rasool Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam replied, "I find him lost in my love and devotion".
Allah Taalah said, "He is from the descendants of Hassan Bin Ali Radi Allahu anhu. He is your son. I have named him Abdul Qadir and there is none who is equal to his Maqaam-e-Wilayat and Level of Ishq. He is your son and My beloved."
Rasool Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam thanked Allah Taalah for this blessing and granted exclusive faiz tu Ghous Paak Radi Allahu anhu and said, "I am delighted to see you and you are Beloved of Allah Taalah and mine and my mureed and khalifa and my foot is on your neck and your foot is on the neck of all saints."
The verse in the excellence of Rasool Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam come to mind.
Teri Miraaj Kay Tu Sidratul Muntaha Tak Pohancha
Meri Miraaj Kay Mein Tere Qadam Tak Pohancha
Your Miraaj is that you reached Sidratul Muntaha

Ghaus ul Azam Dastagir - Al Madad Ya Ghaus

My foot is on the neck of alla the saints
Meeting btwn Khwaja Mou'indd-Din Chishti (ra) & Sheikh `Abd al-Qadir Jilani

Eating bits of food from the floor - 25 years in the jungle
Aauzo Billaahi Minash Shaitaan Nir Rajim
Bismillaah Hir Rehman Nir Rahim ; Allah - Beginning With The Name Of - The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
Allahumma Salli Alaa Sayideena Muhammad Wa Alaa Aalihi Wa Sahbihi Wa Sallim.
25 years in the jungle
Oh admirers of Ghaus-e-Azam ! Our Ghaus-e-Azam spent 25 years of his blessed life in the jungles of Iraq in order to gain the pleasure of Allah . If only we could take some time out of our busy lives and travel with the Madani Qafilay of Dawat-e-Islami in the company of lovers of the Prophet in order to propagate the sunan of The Holy Prophet .
Eating bits of food from the floor
Ghaus-e-Azam says, 'When I used to see pieces of food on the floor, I wanted to pick them up but I would notice that other people were also looking for food. I would leave them so that my Islamic Brothers could eat them and I would stay hungry. When I was feeling very weak due to hunger, I picked up some food which was on the floor in the market. I went to a corner and sat down to eat it. Suddenly, a young man who was holding fresh bread and meat came and sat down and started eating. When I saw the young man, I felt even hungrier. When he put the food in his mouth, I wanted to open my mouth so that he could feed me. Eventually, I controlled my nafs by saying, 'Don't be impatient. Allah is with me. Even if I die with hunger, I will never ask this young man for food.' Suddenly, this young man looked at me and said, 'Brother! Come and eat with me.' I refused but he again asked me to join him. My nafs kept telling me to get up and eat but I kept refusing. This young man kept on insisting so I ate a little of his food. The young man asked me where I lived so I replied Jilan. He asked, 'I am also from Jilan. Do you know Ghaus-e-Azam grandson of Sayyid Abdullah Sauma'ee ?' I replied that I am that person. Upon hearing this he became happy and said, 'When I left Baghdad, your mother gave me 8 gold coins to give to you. I looked for you everywhere but couldn't find you. I spent all my money and had not eaten anything for 3 day so I used your money to buy this bread and meat. Please eat with me because this is your food. First you were my guest but now I am yours.' He gave me the rest of the gold coins and apologised for spending some of the money. I was very happy. I gave him any food which was left and some coins which he accepted and left.' (dhail tabaqaat-ul-hanabila, V3, P250, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)
Dear Islamic Brothers! See how strong the faith of our Ghaus-e-Azam رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه was and how he رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه had control over his nafs.
Unusual way to stay awake
The King of Saints, Ghaus-e-Azam , on giving advice to his disciples and lovers says, 'Alhamdu-Lillah I spent twenty five years of my life in the jungles of Iraq. For forty years I made wuzu for Isha and read Fajr with the same wuzu. Every single day for fifteen years I would finish the whole Qur'an in nafl after Isha. At the beginning, I would fasten a rope around my waist and the other end to a hook in the wall so that if I did fall asleep, I would wake up due to the pull.' (Bahja-tul-Israr wa ma'danul anwaar, P118)
'One night while I was worshipping, my nafs gave me some advice that I was tired so I should go to sleep for a while and then pray. To punish my nafs, I stood on one leg and finished the whole Qur'an.' (Bahja-tul-Qadiriya)
Oh admirers of Ghaus-e-Azam ! Look at how Ghaus-e-Azam used to worship. If (Allah forbid) we can't even be bothered to read our five daily salaah, what kind of admirers are we?
